J. Haley Campbell earned her MFA in Writing at the University of San Francisco and her MA in Teaching at Westminster College.

She has worked in editing, public relations, marketing, and education. She has published nonfiction articles and book reviews. Her passion for learning and storytelling come together in the classroom. She has taught literature, creative writing, performing arts, and yoga to high school students and adults. In Salt Lake City, she created the Young Author’s Project in which she guided students in writing and publishing stories, and she ran a theater program that received local media attention for the original productions co-written and produced with the students.

She currently teaches high school English and Creative Writing at Mount Madonna School in Santa Cruz County, California. When not teaching, she is singing, practicing yoga, hiking, volunteering with animal rescue organizations, and working on her first novel, Shelterwood.
